The Garden of Halloween

Halloween with kids brings me so much joy. When else can I look out at a sea of creatures, superheros, fairytale characters, and a Whoppe cushion? A day when the kids try to take me, with pipe cleaner hair, seriously while I try to read through goggles. In turn, I try to get them to be somewhat serious while they are taking on a new persona and the anticipation of parties and trick-or-treating fill their heads. What a fun day it was. THANK YOU to our party fairies whom swept in and set up, entertained and cleaned up, all in a short time. FANGS A LOT for providing a fun afternoon!

The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi

We rode the Metro
We walked beneath the needle
We learned about cooperation, inclusion, and friendship
from a mongoose, muskrat, and tailorbird.
Had a picnic city lunch
on a beautiful October day.

Many thanks to our chaperones:
